Henry Olonga and the YouthHenry Olonga gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 16 while attending a Christian youth camp.
Henry was the youngest player and first black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe when he made his début in 1995. The consequences of his participation in a protest against the Zimbabwean government in 2003 meant that Henry was forced to flee Zimbabwe. He currently resides in England and plays cricket for the Lashings club.
Henry is an accomplished singer, performing as a soloist since the age of 14, and a keen artist.
We hosted a youth outreach event this evening, complete with ethnic cuisine, where Henry was present to testify and sing. As this was an "Open Mic" event, youth members were also invited to perform.
